It has been raining most of the day here in the New York Metropolitan area. As I'm looking at the Empire State Building right now the top is shrouded in mist so not much chance of a light show tonight at the time of typing. The one ray of sunshine today was the Mets opening day win in an equally wet Cincinnati.

As the sun goes down...

Every night as the sun drifts to the West and sets over New York City, the Empire State Building lights up to take it's place as the focal point of the skyline. Over the course of the year the lights change color to represent different causes or celebrate certain events. I will document these changes and what they signify.
